Precipitation and the Golf Course Condition

We are receiving some much needed precipitation today in the form of rain. It is supposed to change over to snow later today which is fine.

We have been out on the golf course the last couple of days evaluating and planning for our spring. The turf is in very good condition despite the drought conditions that we faced last fall. Greens, tees and fairways have no sign of disease or dessication which is very good news at this time. We are in the process of talking to all of our seasonal help and lining them up to start back to work once the winter weather is out of the way.

Long term forecast looks very favorable for this part of Iowa with warmer temperatures predicted. I really think we will be able to start up sooner than we have in previous years. There is very little frost in the ground and the soil temperatures should be able to warm up much quicker once we have some warm sunny days.

We are as anxious as you to start the season and get going. I can assure you we will do our best to get out as quick as we can. Thanks and we will see you on the golf course.
