Bird Watch Open - 2012

This past Saturday we once again hosted some local Des Moines area expert bird watchers. They came out at 5:30 in the morning to start their 3 hours of looking through their binoculars trying to see and identify some upper Midwest birds. They were a little bit disappointed in what they didn't see. Since the weather has been so nice for the last couple of weeks, many of the birds that they usually see have already migrated through our area. They did identify 50 different species of birds that morning. However there were also some new birds on their list this year. Once I have the list I will update the blog page with it. Here are a couple of photos of the group in action.
