Syngenta Business School

I will be traveling today to go to the Syngenta Business School for 4 days of classroom work. Here is a brief description as to what it is:

For the fourth year, Syngenta is partnering with Wake Forest University School of Business to present the Syngenta Business Institute,TM an innovative professional business development program developed specifically for golf course superintendents. It will be held Dec. 3-6, 2012, at Graylyn International Conference Center, an off-campus site of Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C.

The Wake Forest University School of Business has a nationally ranked MBA executive business program with first-class instructors.

The unique, four-day program focuses on financial and human resource management, delegation skills, effective communications and negotiation skills, and more. The program supplements and complements superintendents’ existing knowledge base, allowing more productive and efficient golf course management.

To be considered for the program, superintendents had to submit a 250-word essay on why they believe they should be selected to attend. Approximately 25 superintendents were selected to attend.
