The cool and wet weather has not been a favorable combination to try and finish up a renovation project. We were fortunate to finish all of the concrete cart path installations. Almost all of the drainage tile has been installed. LUI still has tile to install on the bunkers on #2 and #3 fairways. Hopefully the sun will shine and those bunkers can get finished up!
Irrigation is now finished and they will go back throughout the project and start leveling sprinkler heads that were not completely settled.
The main focus for LUI to finish up is the laying of sod. We still have to finish sodding the bentgrass fairway on #2 by the 1st landing area. The start of #18 fairway also has some bentgrass sod to be installed. The rest of the work is backfilling and sodding along cart paths on almost all of the holes that we installed new cart paths. This looks like a lot of work but if we can get some good days they are ready to go to prep it and Stensland Sodding is ready to install it. So pray for some good weather so we can get the turf to start growing and finish Phase 3!
